V-band suggestions
Having my car 90% DD and an autocross toy PLUS the fact I like to keep playing with exhaust setups, I'm looking into V bands for "swap-ability". Up until now I have used your standard lap-style band clamp or a butt-style band clamp and tacked the pipes together to make sure they don't twist.
Well I'm wanting to make the rear section of my exhaust able t swap between a full size muffler and a bullet/glasspack style. Full size will be for DD/street and bullet muffler will be for autocross.
I average about 8 events a season so the v-bands will get some use. Anyone have v-bands that are not $50 each and are not $10 each that get used a decent amount and have held up?
Burns Stainless $80

Vibrant $60

Summit Racing $37

Anyone have opinions or experience?

I have been thinking about this idea as well.
I love working on my car but DO NOT like taking off and putting back on the exhaust. I think a few of these after the header and over the axle would help with the headache.
I don't have any experience but this is my opinion. If you have stainless steel (SS) exhaust you are going to want to keep the v-band system in SS.
-Summit has 304SS flanges and 200SS clamp.
-Vibrant has Aluminum flanges and SS clamp, so I don't think this is the best option.
-Burns is all SS and is made in the USA so that is a huge bonus.
