Default Y merger with Borla

I'm in the process of doing a head cam swap this winter. It currently has SLP headers and a Borla adjustable catback with the larger plate. Long story short I HATED the rasp! I want it to sound better this next summer after all the work. I've read adding a nice merger makes night and day difference on a Y pipe.

Would putting the Magnaflow 3" or Flowmaster 4" merge make much difference with the Borla exhaust with the passenger side bypassing the muffler? I searched for about a half hour but couldn't find anyone that has done this.

I'm guessing you have a SLP ORY as well?

The exhaust was already on the car when I bought it. I'm going to guess the Y is SLP. I know ground clearance is horrible!

All I can tell you is that adding a FM merge to my crappy Pacesetter ORY made a huge difference in sound and even made a good difference in power. I say go for it
