4.10 or not
I'm sure there are plenty of posts on this, but I'm asking. I am debating switching my 7.5 10 bolt to a 4.10 gear. Please list comments about noise, wheel spin. Increased shifting? Car is a summer cruiser that I like to open up every now and then, no drag racing. Occasional hot shot stuff. Rear end is apart now to replace bad bearings. Was going to buy motive gear and kit from summit

With the high 1st gear in the t56 you really need 4.10's and 4.30's are good too. I know that sounds low but its not, especially with the gearing in the t56. 6th gear becomes more usable at lower speeds. I had motives and they were quiet. Cant speak for richmond. Only time I broke my rear was trying to dump the clutch on sticky tires at the track. If you know how to launch you can make the rear live at the track and still get 1.6 60' times assuming you have 4.10's or lower.
You will blow the damn tires off so if you aren't running drag radials or some wider and softer than stock tires its gonna be banging off the rev limiter all the way through first as soon as you step on it and probably second as well!

I have 4.10's in a M6 and love them. I don't care that much about mileage as this isn't my daily, but I get about 18mpg for a mix of highway and city. I run about 2k rpm in 6th at 70mph.
