Default Spark Plug Gap Range

So I have a 2000 5.3 engine that I built from a core and its still on the stand so I want to get this right before I put the engine in. I bought new plug wires from a vender here on the forum and they came with NGK tr55. What is an acceptable spark plug range of gaps for a stock engine. I swore I read someplace that the stock plug should have been a TR5 with a .050 gap and the tr55 has a .055 gap but then I read that there was a bulletin from Chevrolet to change to .040 gap. Now I am confused so I jumped on google and saw guys saying that stock should have been .060.

I had already regapped the tr55s to .045 and put them in... why did I pick .045.. I don't know, it was in the middle of .050 and .040. But the engine is on the stand and easy to pull the plugs.

Someone set me straight on an acceptable range to be in. I'll pull the tr55s and regap them if need be.
