Default Motor mount bolt issue

So I'm in the middle of swapping headers, and I cannot get a motor mount bolt in (1 of the 4 that attach to the block) It keeps going in sideways no matter what. Can I get away with three until I have it on a lift or something? Thanks guys.

I guess you could to move the car, it's not like the engine will flop around with one bolt missing..

Just be sure to install it ASAP, if it were me I would want it there. I'm sure your not the only one that has left one out.

Have you tried keeping the other three bolts loose so you can line up the last one easier? Gotta ask.

I had this problem too. Turned out that the new Energy Suspension inserts stuck out further than the factory mounts (inserts) and were keeping the bolt from lining up straight. I had to grind down the head of the bolt to make it work. This was on the passenger side. On the driver's side I just shaved the ends on the new insert with a utility knife.

Yup, I ended up shaving the motor mount down as well. It sticks out and makes it a nightmare.

Same here. Except I never got around to installing the missing bolt. I think I only have 3 on each motor mount. Its been that way for 4 or 5 years now with many trips to the track, clutch dumps, powershifts, burnouts, etc.
