I bought a used LS1 off craigslist and the guy managed to pull a few fast ones on me. So the motor came with what I believe is the harness from a 5.3 automatic. I'm looking to put a manual transmission behind my ls1. Will I be able to use an automatic 5.3 harness on my manual ls1? I've already read that I'll need to change the injector connectors, but is it a lost cause? Should I just sell my harness and buy a genuine LS1 harness?
Automatic and manual harnesses are the same just that the automatic will have the extra wires added for transmission features. The injector plugs can be bought and changed or you can purchase the adapters that plug right in.
