Charcoal canister I have installed an LS1 gen3, 5.3l Vortec in to a 1936 Chevy coupe. I have also installed a new Tanks Inc gas tank along with their PA series in-tank efi fuel pump. Coming off the pump is the standard supply, return and vent line. Obviously I do not want any emmisions/evap etc. The PCM has already be reworked as a stand alone harness with the original to the vehicle DBW throttle pedal and PCM.
Now, after looking through countless threads on tank venting I am going to run the tank vent to a charcoal canister high in the tail pan, well above tank top. On the exit from the canister I'm thinking I can find a filter of some sort, maybe a fuel filter? to allow canister to breath but still vent. I also have fabbed in a pop-up vented fuel cap. My question is do you think a motorcycle charcoal canister off of a large bike will work for this? I am not sure if a certain size canister needs to be used here. I found several GM canisters that would work but the motorcycle canister is smaller, more compact and would seem ideal for this. Have any of you done this mod before? All questions and comments are greatly appreciated.

I use that set up. The charcoal can was all the filter I needed, no smelly garage and allows the fuel to expand and contract with temperature changes.
