Hate to bring an old thread back just wanted to know what people were doing about the steam lines there is no mention of them here but some reading has lead me to believe the crossover tubes wont fit under the 102 and you need to re plumb them. Can anyone add to this?

i run a stock front crossover pipe with my fast 102. my heads were milled a little and there was no clearance issue. the only clearance issue ive had is with my original water pump and a parts store ls2 pump. i ended up running a meziere electric pump which solved that issue.

I asked Tony this question a few months ago as I’m gathering parts for my MMS220 top end build. I have the LS1 4 corner steam vent lines currently and he suggested to go to the LS6 front crossover with blank-offs for the rears. That way to don’t have to deal with flattening, clearancing, etc. If it’s good enough for GM it’s good enough for me right?

It's good enough until it isn't. I'm rolling those dice.

i think they make a number of kits with plumbing that sits out from underneath the manifold.

i run the stock LS6-style plumbing, and haven't had issues, though, so...

Still have to clearance the steam pipe in the front. I just layed my intake down, then hit there pipe a few times with a rubber mallet, checked again and repeated untill it cleared.

I have another issue. I got the intake installed. The engine is on a stand and mocked up.
i got the pcv plumbed up with the catch can. I also have drilled the front MAP port.
I mistakenly sold my factory throttle bracket so I bought one from ws6store made for NW 102 throttle bodies.
Problem is, the damn thing isn't going to fit without significant modification.

The mounting bolts hits the top of the throttle body opening and the bracket covers the map sensor.

I think fast sells a bracket for the intake. Also, map sensor goes in the rear not the front.

I checked thier site last night and didn't find it.
I decided to run it in the front because there's no room back there. Other people do it I know. I'm ok with it being in the front. I got the map harness extension.

Right but now because of that your cable bracket is in the way, no? Probably no going back now, you may need to get your hands on a stock bracket off of eBay or something.

Any particular reason why you use the MAP in the back port instead of put it in the front and use a extension plug?

I used the Nitrous Outlet vapor vent kit for the Fast 102 intake.
