Dumped borla xr1 thinking of changing, few ??? Very quick rundown of setup, 1 7/8" Texas speed Long tubes, ORY, borla xr1 muffler, torquer v2 cam
The reason for getting rid of the SLP LM1 was the rasp as many know.
So I just installed a dumped borla xr1 on my wife's cammed camaro and I think it sounds great compared to the lm1 it had on it. Only issue I have with it is at idle it sounds damn near like it has stock cam, has good rumble but not as distinctive sound. Now is that the dumped setup or the muffler? Anyone change their borla out and like something better? Since exhaust is dumped im open to anything including eliminating the Y pipe for 2 dumps.

I've got dual SLP LM1's on my true dual setup, and there is no rasp at all. I know it's different with a y-pipe setup though. I've heard cars with the SLP LM1's and the Borla XR1's, and you can't go wrong with either.
I like the sound of the borla on there. Is it a 3 1/2 in muffler? If you decide to pull it off and go with something different let me know I'd be interested in buying it. Looks like we're not too far away
