Default Fast 102 map sensor issue

I dropped my car off for the final tune for the new setup and my tuner called me and said the map sensor is seeing no vacum...the car isn't running very good and is smoking and I'm hoping this is why the car is fouling out plugs like it's it's job and I was told when the map sensor sees no vacum or there is no signal to it it thinks it's at wot all the time...when I installed the intake I drilled the hole out for the map sensor on the back of the intake because I didn't like the way it looked on the front...what would make the map sensor pop out of the back of the intake? Have any of you had this issue? If so what can I do to prevent the sensor from coming back out...I'm not looking forward to taking the intake back off and I don't want to do this again

I've got some pictures showing how I dealt with that in my thread. First page.

If you don't like it on the front, you're going to have to take the intake off any time you suspect your map. I relocated mine to the front for that reason. Not that the sensor fails often, but if I suspect mine, I pop the hood and voila.

I had to relocate mine to the front for the same reasons. Showed up ready to tune and the sensor was crushed from tilting the motor to install the tranny.

Lol. Could have still left it back there using my method.

I had that issue with mine, I had a pretty bad intake leak and there was low to no vacuum. double check and make sure no leaks... is it a new sensor? I would suggest running it in the front, I have mine in the front and just bought an extended harness they sell.. plug and play but just make sure to drill the front hole and plug the back of the mani.. good luck

I had to pull the intake anyways. I learned the hard way that those nuts on the back of the intake can loosen and fall off. I had hell trying to get it tuned. At low rpms it was all over the place, get above 3000 it pulled like a mule. It wasn't till I pulled the intake to relocate the map that I found those nuts all came off. Talk about a massive vacuum leak.

I replaced the seal, new nuts and some locktite then back to my tuner. This time success.

This works better and keeps the clutter from the front...

Here was my solution to the map sensor. Only cost me a fender washer.

Mounted the MAP vertically using a washer stack to help hold it in place. Pretty simple solution to the firewall interference
