I recently put a magnaflow catback exhaust on my 2001 camaro z28 and now when the car is warmed up it rattles at idle and at lower rpms. what could it be?

Jus the catback? No y pipe or headers? Get the car off the ground and shake the exhaust back and forth at different spots to see where it's loose and hitting

I had the same problem after I installed a magnaflow cat back several years ago. It turned out that my over-the-axle pipe was vibrating against something. I loosened the clamps up and did a little bit of adjusting. I never had a problem with it after that.
