I have a 98 trans am roller with no engine harness. I bought a 2000 engine harness. I'm having trouble finding information on what I need to do. I've searched for a few weeks with no results. All I could find was that my gauges cluster won't work . Any other info would be appreciated.

check out www.lt1swap.com. excellent resource for wiring info. there are countless threads here that have pin-outs and advise as well.

The 98' harness is pinned different than the 99' and up. You need a harness for 98'.

I would keep that harness , you will need a computer ending in last 4 #s of 4896 or 0411 . The 99 up ecm is easier to tune . The gauge functions are little different in the 98 cluster. Who says the gauge won't work.
