Corvette Harmonic balancer - LS1, 6 I'm looking for a harmonic balancer and found a new "factory" LS1 on ebay. After receiving it I noticed the seal is pulled out from the adjoining ring. I contacted the seller and they took it back. Any idea where to purchase one that isnt two arms and a leg plus cash? I'm using it on a LQ 6.0 build that will have Corvette accessories in my '55 Chevy "LS" swap. I wont be spinning 8000 rpms, this will be a street engine cruiser. How about this one...shall I expect the same issue as the other. I wouldn't trust any of those repop oe ones. You can get a decent underdrive fairly cheap and pick up a little more performance as well. A powerband would do fine if you're not running a lot of extras
Not sure if you have gotten one already but you can have my factory ls1 from an 02 Camaro balancer for $50 +shipping, bought the motor and was told it had 17k miles, I used an ati damper since I was planning on turning some rpms
