ARP balancer bolt torque...
My question is, when I install my new March balancer, should I torque the old GM bolt to 240 lb-ft, to seat the balancer, then remove the bolt, and install the ARP bolt at 196 lb-ft with ARP assembly lube?
The guy also said I can use either ARP assembly lube or blue loc-tite on the threads of the bolt. One is an oil, the other is a thread-locker. Does this make sense? Which would be the better of the two to use?
Everything I said I hope seems pretty strait forward, but can anyone verify this for me? The guy I spoke with was somewhat impatient and confusing to understand.
Thanks,
Chris
