Default Potz Speed ported ls1 throttle body

Anybody had any recent dealings with Potz Speed and Performance? I know this isn't the place and may get deleted, but I paid for the service on June 15th and sent my throttle body in for porting. I hadn't heard anything until July 25th when his daughter told me he had a stroke late June. This is also posted on their Facebook page. I've tried several times since to get ahold of them with no success.

Its way past any claim period so I guess I'm on my own with this. Just didn't know if anybody recently had any transactions with them or if anyone else is in the same boat as me.

I lived down the street from the man who did these until a few weeks ago, he has done quality work for many years, he lives in Jacksonville FL. The stroke did throw their whole company and family off though, he recently sold a few leftover items on his ebay page and its my understanding that hes slowly trying to come back into business. Its a sensitive area, on one hand you paid for services but on the other he had a serious stroke and he mainly managed his business and his family didn't. I don't see any reason why it wont get resolved in time like I said he's been in business for a long time.

I completely understand the impact it has had. Its one of those things where he may not be able to do work like this again. If I could just get a reply back from them I wouldn't feel like I've been taken. It won't let me reply to the messages on the buying site due to the item is no longer in the system. I've tried posting on their facebook page and sent him a message on his personal facebook. Just no luck with it.

I bought a throttle body from him about 7 years ago, he does awesome work.

I heard about what happened through his facebook page, go figure it happened right when I was looking to buy another throttle body from him. All the best to him and I hope he has a full and speedy recovery. When ever he starts selling again I will be one of the first in line to make a purchase

I hope he's doing well. I know it will take some time for him to recover from this. I'd just like to hear something from them to know whats up. I've sent several messages and commented on posts with no reply. Apparently there are several guys in the same boat that paid on eb@y and mailed in a throttle body and have heard nothing either.

Me personally, I've got alot of parts for my car like LS6 intake, 799 heads, VRX5 cam, BTR springs, pushrods and everything else for it. I'd like to have everything on including the ported throttle body when I go to have it dyno tuned, until then... who knows.

Who else is as good a source for ported throttle bodies? Looking to have one done this winter and was going to use Potz again but sounds like that option is out.

I was going to use this company as Potz no longer does this.

Well I hate to be like this but after multiple attempts to reach Potz, I contacted paypal and started a dispute hoping to hear a reply. I would much rather receive my throttle body back as I had to buy another to drive my car since. Maybe I'll hear something soon on this.

Shaner S3 for a stock TB, period. I personally don't thing anyone else does what he can with a 78mm stock TB. A Shaner S3 and FAST 78 used to be the bees knees...

I was one of those people that bought a 'leftover'. After all the positive reviews I've seen, I had his page marked to get my TB done when I got around to it, but when I saw (on eBay) that there were no longer any auctions for the service, on Aug 25th I jumped in and bought a TB and MAF that was listed as already completed.

Only after not receiving it a week or so later did I find his FB page and found out about his stroke, which explains the lack of services being offered. I hoped that since all my order needed was to be shipped, I'd be ok.

I saw another thread about someone asking for Potz contact info that got quickly closed since it's not a sponsor, tho in this case I think that thread was justified.

Unfortunately, I still haven't received a response (thru eBay or FB) about shipping this completed TB and MAF. I'm trying to be patient, but can't afford to wait until it's too late to get my money back. I hope for the best for him and his family, and that he gets back on his feet.

I'm the one that started this thread, I haven't heard anything since July 25th. Its a bad situation I know, but I don't want to be at a complete loss of my money and throttle body I mailed in. I bought a replacement used throttle body for $30 and mailed my good one in. So I'm out about $50 there. I filed a paypal dispute last week and haven't gotten a reply yet. I'm about to change it to a paypal claim and hopefully at least get my $57.49 back I paid when I purchased the "service" on epay.

That's unfortunate to hear. I have a matte black one that I ordered back in April and it's a quality piece.

Wanted to update and let everyone know I received my stock throttle body back from New Era Performance and it looks like they ported the TB and performed the bump stop modification.
