Default painless wiring harness
has anybody used the painless wiringharness for their conversion, mine will be LS6 truck engine with LS1 intake

Very few people use the painless stuff here.
Trucks never received the LS6.

if very few don['t use painless wiring to do the swap, what do they use

There are sponsors here that sell completed harnesses, or they modify the stock one.

I have used 3 different harnesses from Painless, not for LS engine though, all 3 were flawless, Labeled nicely and easy directions. I would recommend them. my .02

Same here. I have (2) Painless harnesses in my 1970 IH Scout LS swap; an engine harness, and a new harness as I switched over to a GM column.

Great harnesses and great support when I had questions.
