x link conversion harness So Iv'e looked up the wire diagram for an 08 4.8 silverado and an 04 5.3 silverado (the 04 is my personal) and am looking to put the 4th gen intake on my pickup. So far all i see that is different is that my 04 has two 5 volt ref wires and two low ref wires. all the other wires have the same function. so the big question is, am i able to splice both 5 volt ref wires and both low ref wires together and connect them to a new 4th gen throttle body plug? ive read on other forums that the 03-07 classic have a different set up and some people say you can splice and some say you cant. really do not want to buy a $240 adapter from torque rush if i do not need to. one last thing is both the 5 volt ref and low ref wires go to the throttle actuator control module on my 04.

I never could get it to work , Had to get the x link . I dont think its possible . Difference in going from tack module to pcm controlled throttle body. They will not talk to each other with out the x link .
