Ebay sheetmetal intake

Supposedly, there is a v.2 now that has better thicker material. Any truth to this?
Any reason it wouldnt outperform an ls6 intake on a prc225 headed 11.6:1 383ci stroker n/a and bottle?

link? I wonder too, if a welded sheet metal intake would benefit from being cleaned up and having the runners roughed up with a burr finish?
