Possible bent tsp header

Possible bent tsp header So Im installing a pair of LTs, and I know it's generally a PITA getting the drivers side in but mine seem like id need another inch or so of space between the block and k member, there's a dent in the forwardmost pipe and I'm wondering if it might be bent, but TSP hasn't been very helpful. I've ground the lip of the k member almost all the way off and pulled the oil filter, what else can I do?

Did you buy them new?
Dents are pretty common in Long tubes. Its amazing how many people dent their headers for fitment purposes.
You might try Unhooking the engine mounts so you can raise the engine up a couple of inches.

+1 on both above responses. A buddy and I just installed a pair of TSP 1 7/8 LT's on my 2000 SS. The driver side was a huge PITA. We ended up starting with the oil filter, then the steering knuckle then the motor mount. It sucked but their in. Good luck.

It's the k member and motor mounts giving you the space constraints. I installed their 2"/3.5" and didnt remove anything but I have a tubular k member.
