Dropping motor... keeping A/C in car?
I'm getting ready to drop the motor out of my Camaro in a couple of weeks. Most if not all of the write-ups I've seen involve having the A/C system evacuated. Due to some issues with the car I can't take it to a shop to have them evacuate it (plus, I already pulled the intake mani off lol).
I'd like to avoid venting the gas into the atmosphere (not to mention having to pay to have it refilled). So for those of you who have, how did you tie the A/C compressor out of the way while you dropped the motor?
Thanks

Just unbolt the a/c compressor and tie it back out of the way with anything you have, bungy cord, clothes hanger, wire, small rope, you get the idea. Just keep an eye on it while the engine is coming out. You may have to move it around a little.
