Is the flowmaster merge still most popular
Ditching the duals and going 3" y to 4" dump. Flowmaster is the cheapest and was at one time real popular......only negatives are length and aluminized stainless.....and many say it performs great......thoughts?

Looking at the FM versus others, the merge transition on the FM is more gradual. Others neck down more quickly and sharply. The FM appears like it would flow better.
I have had them on both my 2.5>3" and 3>3.5" Y-pipes and have been pleased. The only downside is that is a heavy piece compared to the other stainless versions.

I'm running the following exhaust setup:
Speed Engineering 1 7/8 LT's
3" to 4" Flowmaster merge
4" cutout
It made a substantial difference in both sound and top end performance. I went with 4" as I'm spraying 300+

For ground clearance it's straight down.....so looks like they took.a 90 degree for inch and cut it.....I'll get a pic later.......is vibration similar to drone?

Maybe. That turndown being straight down is gonna cause all kinds of drone and buzzing inside the car. It will sound the best straight down because it will be deep and bassy but pointing that turndown out at 45* makes all the difference in the world.

When I first installed the latest iteration of my dumped Y it was pointed directly out the side of the car. I only drove it one day like that, but there were a lot of vibrations transmitted to the cabin. Rotating the dump to a 45 degree fixed all of that. It's really not too obnoxiously loud either. Gets old driving out to Nebraska and back, but for weekend trips around town it's perfectly fine.
