Looks like it ends up somewhere else, unless you can fab something up for breather/pvc holes.

I would suggest the holley valve covers. I bought them because of this exact issue of filler cap and also wanted pcv.

What is the hole on the side of the upper cover for? Could it be used for oil fill?

Per the description it says "These finned covers have a cast-in breather/PCV hole in each cover"

If they are like most and have the course thread then you are okay, if it only supports the push in with rubber grommet you could still make that work it just might move a bit.

Looking online I am fairly confident that these are the covers original manufacture.http://www.yourcovers.com/valve_covers_10413.php

And from what is shows it is rubber grommet only.
