Default Egr block off question

Team,

I know this may sound stupid, but do you think I can put duct tape on the egr and air system tubes to block them off just to start the car? or would it just blow it right off lol.

Did head swap and ls6 mani so I wanna finally fire this car up.

I ordered the block off plates since Monday , and it only got shipped out yesterday at 12 20 AM... smh

OR should I just wait.

Just getting real eager been working on this car since December.

Do you still have your egr stuff? If so take the fitting and tube that goes where the block off plate goes and cut the tube about a inch up. Wrap the **** out of the hole and bolt it back on as a temp.
