My air filter solution for a 4150 TB When I swapped from a standard LS6 intake to a single plane Vic Jr. with an Accufab 4150 throttle body last year I drove without a filter since I couldn't find one to fit. It took quite a bit of cowl trimming and at the time I wanted to retain wipers. As a result I didn't drive the car much and was always worried about sucking in dust or road debris. Even parking out side when leaves or tree buds would fall on the car sucked and I would look in the intake to be sure nothing fell in. Finding info in how to run a filter was pretty scarce so after months of research I pulled the trigger on an R2C pit filter designed for dirt track cars. I bought the one meant for a Holley carb and it fits the 4150 opening perfectly. I did have to trim the plastic wiper trim more but it fits perfect now. The pic I have is under a stock, flat T/A hood. There is a bit less clearance under my Glasstek Ram Air hood but it still fits. I have a Vic Jr, NO Stinger 3 plate and Accufab 4150 TB. I cut down a 6" 1/4 20 bolt and used a fender washer and wing nut to hold it on. I did have to push in the filter material to create a "notch" and trim the lower flange on the filter to clear the throttle linkage.
