Mounting tensioner NOT on water pump
This all goes back to me trying to figure out why I threw the belts last week. Based on my searches I am not alone and it looks like the LS1 tensioner is well known for throwing belts during performance driving. The LS2 pulley is an improvement with higher rim height. But I decided to jump deeper in to the pool by getting a manual tensioner from Katech. Replacing belts, and the potential collateral damage can get stupid expensive.

Best of luck, just trying to give you some insight to help youwith your problem. It's obvious you aren't looking for that at this time
