BINGO. Map is way faster since the pcm is just doing an equation to determine fuel need based on grams per cylinder of air....hence the throttle response that some people say they feel. But the MAF is measuring actual airflow instead of calculating based off the ideal gas law. Both have their goods and bads and depend entirely on how good the tuner is.

What do you think I was talking about. The turning point is 4000. Hmmm. Interesting to note as the sponsor explained, newer cars are almost exclusively controlled by the MAF.

This statement "the stock configuration sets the tipping point where SD kicks in at 4000." makes it sound like you thought the MAP was used exclusively after 4k, not the MAF. It sounds like you knew that, it just came out funny lol.

No need to over complicate it for the guy. If it's a daily and your weather varies a lot then stick with the MAF, and for your application the 85mm GM is a very good choice
