Default 4th Gen Camaro LS1 header length

I am getting ready to purchase some LT headers for my 2001 Z28. As I look at the options, it appears in the photos that the passenger side header is substantially longer in length than the driver's side on many models. Is it an optical illusion, or is it that is how some are built. Wouldn't it make a difference in scavenging properties to have tubes 4-6" longer on one side compared to the other?

The collectors come out at the same length under neath the car. The tubes may be routed differently but they're roughly the same length on both sides

Neither of the two sets of high end exhausts I've ahead were anywhere close to equal lengths. I think the better of the two was a 4" range from tube to tube

Well.....I answered my own question! I bought a set of "big name" headers, and there is a substantial difference in length from passenger side to driver's side. Longest to shortest is a 14" difference. Of course the "tech" adviser said it was only a few inches!

With this tech adviser, it was all relative; neither he nor any of his relatives could count beyond 10...

For most people not bound by a rule set it shouldn't matter that much, you can just spend more elsewhere. If limited on what you can do a full custom set of headers will be the way to go, but very expensive. It never takes just one attempt.
