nothing to think about, they just proved that decreased backpressure can cause decreased torque due to a lean condition.

I think the more overlap your cam has the more effect reducing backpressure has. I only say that because i had my cam (112 lsa) before i got headers, and when i put the headers on it wouldn't even idle until i opened the idle screw up another quarter turn. I noticed a decrease in off idle torque on the butt dyno but i guess it could have been a placebo effect since that's always what i've heard.

Question my car is pretty much bone stock (just freemods) with the execption of i wacked the muffler off and just ran a 3" pipe from the cat back to 3" chrome tips. Is this hurting my performance? Am i losing backpressure?
