Default How do you I.D. which intake you have??

I was wondering how you identify which manifold you have on your engine? This engine is a 2006 6.0 Gen3 LQ4 or 9. I think the manifold was changed out.. I believe the engine came out of a Pickup and has 317 stamped on the heads.Seller said possibly Corvette Z06 intake??? Not sure why my pics don't orientate properly?

Thanks,
Keith R

317 are cathedral port, so that means it is either a LS1, 2, or 6 intake. of those, IIRC, the only one that had the EGR port in the center of the throat was the LS1 intake. Since it appears you have the EGR port and it has been blocked off, I'm going to say I think you have an F body LS1 intake.

Which means you have a TON of room for improvement.

To add confusion, SLP did make an LS6 intake with EGR provisions like that but they are extremely hard to find. More than likely you have an LS1. Pull it off and check the part number on it.

Thank you for the Reply's!! Yes i am planning on doing some improvements for a little more horsepower but not too much. Maybe 400-425 would be ok with me. The car is running rich and stalling a lot and electric fans are not working so i have to start figuring that out. Not familiar with the Gen3 PCM troubleshooting, i have a lot of reading to do.

Thanks,
Keith R
