Default Cold Air Intake Parts

Hi guys,
As I'm trying to shoehorn in a 5.3 Vortec into my 1985 S10 pickup and now ready for a cold air intake setup. Since nobody makes a pre-made kit for my application I must make one. I don't know why the prices for individual parts are so ridiculously high. Does anyone have a source of reasonably priced parts or have made one up for their application that looks good and doesn't look "Mickey Mouse", and is there any junkyard air box applications that may be modified to work, since OEM parts are normally good quality I am sure some car or small truck has one that may work. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I used the black version of this on my 2000 S10 but I don't run a MAF https://www.ebay.com/itm/4-RED-99-06...item43ac00f80b

I pierced mine together from these guys. I went with the carbon fiber stuff, and it’s VERY affordable.

Thank you for the help. I will be doing my research tonight while watching the games. You have a nice car and I appreciate what you are doing. I don't want a "Trailer Queen" either, I prefer to do as much work as I can on my car as I can. You are a true hot rodder. My friends are calling my build a "Rat Rod", their cars sit in the garage and are never driven, they just look at them.
