Lq4?? New to the site sorry if im posting in the wrong place. Looking for some solid info on the lq4 the internet is very vaige. My biggest question is how much power can the lq4 block hold before it breaks. I have heard 500 crank horse ive heard 700. Hoping to find solid evidence. My build plan is an lq4 with forged dished pistons stock crank and manley rods for a bottom end combo. Im sure with that i an make 700 but not sure if the block will hold. Thankd for any onfo or advice

The block is not a problem at that power level.
What are you REALLY trying to do? Don't beat around the bush, don't evade, don't hide it... come right on out and TELL THE TRUTH. What are you REALLY wanting to know? (given that what you are asking about is basically impossible without some form of forced induction)

Yes the LQ4/9 block will hold 700 hp without breaking. Sounds like you are making a forged bottom end for boost. With the right set up you should be able to achieve your goals. The LQ blocks come with 317 heads which have 72cc combustion chambers so factor that into your piston dish selection as far as the compression ratio goes if you are staying with the stock heads. What cam are you thinking of using?
