L33 to LS6 swap

If I run an LS6 intake on my 2005 L33 5.3 do I still need to run a LS6 valley cover and clearance the block or is that only on the older LS1's?

You don't have to change the valley cover. If your engine isn't currently consuming a lot of oil, then you shouldn't have to worry about it. I don't know what coolant crossover tubes come on the L33. If you have the one that connects all four corners then you will have to pick up a LS6 coolant tube set that only ties together the front and has block off plugs for the rear.

EDIT: What accessories are you using? I thing there are potential clearance issues with the water pump if you are using truck accessories.
