Default Which cam to go with

Building a 72 Chevelle with a lq9 with 243 heads with yellow springs stock truck intake, turbo 400 2500 stall and 373 rear. Which cam would be better ASA cam or comp cams thumper cam

Depends on what you want out of the motor.

Go fast: ASA
Car shows (sound): Thumpr

The Thumpr cams don't run "bad", and they're not "bad" period, just, they're optimized for THAT ONE property at the expense of others, and your motor probably won't run the best it can at the level of other compromises you'll have to make. (gas mileage, emissions if you have to pass inspection, low-RPM driveability, etc.)

Not sure the actual ASA cam will work with those springs though. Might be too little spring to control the valves.

ASA cam has smaller lift not worried about sound just performance car is a street car that will be driven once in awhile
