Default SE Headers VS TSP headers

I'm on the fence of which to buy? Anybody running either set let me know your pros and cons. Quality, price, fit, easy of installation, clearance, overall opinion. Also how well does the ORY fit?

TSP is good stuff. SE has a good rep as well.

TSP states their exhaust components are made of thicker gauge, seamless stainless tubing. Theoretically they should be a slightly more durable piece. They are also more similar to Kooks, which is supposed to be on the higher end of quality, for whatever that is worth. SE exhaust components are fully polished and look to have great craftsmanship. Both are reported to have decent to good fitment. With no scientific reasoning, the TSP Y looks to have a smoother merge transition than the SE in my eyes. I highly doubt someone would notice or feel a difference between the two though. I'm going to say it just comes down to budget. 1-7/8" with ORY shipped, $414.99 vs around $615.

Thanks for your reply. I found SE headers and ory shipped for $354. Which ever system I get I would like to put Magnaflow cats in the ory as I would like to keep the sound down.I also have a Magnaflow catback already installed.

Did you install the headers on jack stands or on a lift? My concern is with the ory fitment. How is the ground clearance? Do you think there's room on the ory to install two Magnaflow high flow cats. Last question, how loud is the sound as I don't want anything loud as it's my daily driver and that's one of the reasons for installing the cats. Thanks for your time.

We were swapping in a new engine at the time. I can’t recall exactly much detail.
ground clearance is ok, being that it comes in pieces, it kinda says a bit and the clamps it comes with aren’t the best.
I think there’s enough room to install cats.
this setup was loud with a magnaflow cat back setup. But but we had no cats on our car

I installed a set of TSP headers in my garage with floor jack, ramps and jack stands. Passenger side was a breeze, drivers side need to be wiggled, didn’t have to remove mounts or k-member. Good clearance on both sides. Y pipe tucked up real nice. Zero issues with ground clearance ( lowered with Strano Springs/ Bilstein Shocks).

Both are fine. If I had to do it again I'd just get pacesetter or Se (whatever's cheaper) and spray paint them with 2000° header paint. (The pacesetters, I guess se is stainless) So they don't rust. No sense in spending big bucks here. Use the money on what really matters like the heads.

Headers and a TD dumped system can be had for like 600 bucks. That's cheap.

Stainless > Coated Steel IMO.
Get the TSP, 8 out of 10 reviews are good.
