Home made polly mounts?
Home made polly mounts? I was just waltzing around the internet and came across this site. I did a little research and found that this is actually old hat in many import circles. I would guess it would work across the board though.
I'm kinda leary about a harsh ride with true polly mounts but this would be a great in between I would think. Also, the poly inserts are kinda difficult to install, this method might be doable without removing the mounts from the car. Just drive up some tire ramps, jack the motor up to remove the load from the mounts and fill in the open space around the rubber mount. And give it a weekend to dry. Anyone actually do something like this?

The site you listed is for doing motor mount 'inserts', its a import thing. Their mounts are made with gaps and they put poly in the gaps to make it stiffer. LS1 mounts are solid chunks of rubber inside the clam shell, so they will need to be replaced with a solid chunk of poly. You can't squirt poly into an LS1 motor mount, it just ain't the same. For what its worth, I have less vibration with my poly motor mounts than I did with my rubber.
