Gen 3/4 inquiry I'm building a 07 gen 4 5.3 . What I have done is as follows- changed the relutor wheel to 24t. DOD delete, I have a 08' truck intake and T.B. I have a complete Blue/Green harness which I've not been able to determine the year of. I have 2 99' pcm's one was sold to me as something else along with the harness.
question 1 - how do I determine the date of the harnnes?
. 2- will this harness work with my TB?
. 3- will I need a different pcm?
eventually making it's way into a S-10 TIA.

2. No way to know based on what you posted.
3. Possibly not but maybe.
Best thing to do would be, see where all the connectors are on the harness, and see if they match where things on the motor are. Cam pos sensor for example would be a big one: is it on top behind the intake, or is it on the timing cover? Then look at the TB connector; does it match the TB you have? (DBW vs DBC) etc. Just match em all up one by one and master the differences.
My 04 has the blue/green configuration, as well as a 06 LQ9 harness I have. I'd suggest getting a PCM from something in that year range. Not sure if the 99 PCM will hook up to that kind of harness, whether everything is in the same pin locations, etc.
