anyone ever shim the trans bracket
anyone ever shim the trans bracket So I put pacesetter LT's on my car and texas speed ORY, to a flopro twister on a SLP LM2 catback.
The headers hit the heat shields and the y pipe hits the frame when shifting, when I get on it I feel like the headers just slam into the body and stay there until I let off.
Im curious if I could just shim the trans bracket like 1/4 inch or so to drop the headers away from the car? Is changing the drivetrain geometry the worst idea ever?
Do people just cut off the heatshield? Its basically resting on the header on the pass side. I dont think new motor mounts would fix it because wouldnt that get the engine higer if they are sagging? jamming the header collectors even closer to the car?
