Default o2 question

is there any difference from the front o2 senors and the rear o2s??? i spliced the front ones with the wires that came with the headers but im having second thoughts that i should have just got the o2 extentions. thanks for the help guys.

The front o2's (precat) are used by the PCM to properly calculate your a/f ratio. These are the critical ones. The post cat sensors are simply there as a mandate of OBDII. They report to the PCM that the cat is functioning by sensing different measurements than the precat sensors. The car will run fine without the back ones, but you will throw a code if you do not use simulators or hook them up. You can also delete the postcat sensors via LS1 edit.

One of my cats (most likely Both) is stopped up. would it be ok for me to gut my cats, or remove them and replace with a peice of pipe untill i can afford my headers/ true dual next month? the light being on dosnt bother me, but the major bog/ power loss does. Im aware of the legality, thats not a concern either.
