Header Clearance
I have installed the speed engineering 1 7/8" headers on my 02 camaro that i have done an LS3 swap on and i have discovered that the last primary on the passenger side is / was touching the EVAP box that goes thru the firewall.
Its not touching it by much and by the looks of it has pretty much clearanced itself after running it a couple of times.
My question is, does this need to be clearanced any more or will it be ok just being really effin close to the header primary? I do plan on somehow slipping some heat tape between the box and the header to give it some sort of protection but with it being right on top of it Im not sure how much protection from heat its really going to get.
Has anyone else ran into this issue? If so what did you do to correct? Or did you leave it as is with no heat insulation etc?
