Header Install Problem
Header Install Problem I realize there is alot of info. on this subject on this sight but I need to know how much of the K-Member I can get away with cutting off before I run into problems? I am installing Kooks LT's in my 99 SS and can't seem to get enough clearance to get the drivers side header in. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

How high up do you have the car? I know on my car I had to have the header completely vertical before I was able to slide it in. I also unbolted the tranny crossmember and pried it over to give me enough room to slide it in. Another thing, I pulled off the oil filter too.

Practically had the car on end finally got it in, after doing some "mods" to the k-member and body, as well as loosening engine mounts both sides and removing oil filter
