My DD muffler on my CME setup sounded good with LT's @ ORY but my SLP muffler puked out all the packing and it became loud as hell and started resonating inside horribly. I then went with Corsa and loved the deepness and tone but that sucker was loud with an ORY. Not much rasp with an ORY but noticeable around 2200-2800rpms. Adding a bullet in the I pipe helped but it was still too loud. Adding cats made everything perfect and it sounds great now. No rasp whatsoever.

When you all say "rasp" are you referring to the small backfires when you let of the gas and in between shifts?

I have a factory SLP DD cat-back on my Firehawk with an off-road Y-pipe. As WILWAXU {I think that's who it was} said, it still has a bit of "rasp" to it between about 2 grand and 3 grand. Below 2 grand- fine,,,, above 3 grand- fine. Sounds perfect {at least to me} at idle and at high rpm.

The rasp gets on my nerves a bit, especially considering that it's centered right in the middle of the rpm range that you are in most of the time. I have thought about putting a bullet in the I pipe but once I got under there, I saw that I would have to cut my cat-back to install the bullet. I was hopeing to only have to cut the Y-pipe. The bullet's case would also be pretty close to my floor. I think I'll just live with it.
