Default !EGR freeze plug question, help please

I finally decided to rid my car of AIR and EGR. The onilne instructions said to get a 1 3/8" rubber freeze plug to fill the hole in the intake left by the EGR tube. I tried two autozones and Napa, nobody seems to have a 1 3/8" freeze plug, just 1 1/2" and 1 1/4" The 1.5" plug will not fit. The 1.25" plug just fell in, and I tried tightening it down but as I turn the nut on top the whole plug turns....I managed to get it slightly tight by pushing down on the plug while turning the nut, but I just don't know if I can trust it not to leak. What did you guys do to keep everything left from leaking?

Was it 1 3/8"?? The writeup i saw did say pep boys, but we don't ahve one very close, we have autozones and a Napa and that's all I ususually use. I think I got the 1 1/4" to fit well enough, we'll see thoug I'm not sure how much I trust my homemade block-offs for the AIR/EGR connections to the manifolds either. Just took some steel from heat ducts i think, cut it out to the approx shape, drilled holes for the screws, applied some high temp RTV sealant, and stuck them on. Hope it doesn't leak :O/

Go to napa, and have them order the part. I just did that this week. The part number is 600-4006. This is for the 1 3/8" expansion freeze plug. It sealed up the EGR hole pretty good.

GM part number 12558346 will block off the EGR hole and look like the factory installed it. I think its about $15, its all I've ever installed.

I see, they have the plug for $2. I will have to get one from speed inc or order from Napa. Thanks everyone!
