Default LS7 starter on 5.3?

Hello all, I have a 5.3 with a T56, and I'm using an LS7 clutch and flywheel. Would the LS7 starter work on this setup? It seems that, according to rockauto, this starter will ONLY work on 06-13 corvettes, whereas the typical truck starters work on a whole bunch of different vehicles and years. I am interested in the ls7 starter though because its actually the cheapest ACDelco brand starter that I have found.

Thanks!

Parts stores only know what the book says it's SUPPOSED to fit, what it came on originally. Truck starters fit everything because truck engines are the same basic blocks as car engines. I have a feeling the LS7 starter might fit. Try it. If it does not fit, return it. It helps to have a friendly parts counter person.

yeah i was just wondering if there was something slightly different about the LS7 starter for some reason.

But after I posted this, I realized my starter has a lifetime warranty, so i am going to warranty it for now and see how it does haha.
