Default Throttle Body Question...

I took an LQ9 out of a 2002 Cadillac Escalade. We are putting it into my wifes 1980 Z28 Camaro. I have a set of 823 LS3 heads, LS3 Cam, LS3 Timing Set and LS3 Intake Manifold. I am missing the LS3 Throttle Body but was told it wouldnt work with my LQ9 harness and PCM anyway.

My question is, Is it easier to keep my current drive by wire 3 bolt throttle body and drive by wire pedal with one of those 3 bolt to 4 bolt adapters? or...
Amazon Amazon

Should I get a 90mm or 92mm (I cant find which is the factory diameter on the LS3 Intake Manifolds) cable driven throttle body with TPS and AIC?

Any help would be greatly appreciated as we will hopefully have the motor put together and into the z28.

Thank you,
Jose

You also have the gas pedal if it's a DBW too correct.

If it's a drive by cable then certainly that would be the throttle body I'd be after. I don't like drive by wire setup anyways but to each his own.

I'm sure there are some DBW throttle bodies in four bolt pattern. Have you googled it?

I'd probably run the adapter plate if no other option. It sounds like you have a 6.0 that was for cathedral port heads and intake and are moving up to square port stuff.

Ive been told that the DBW TB that comes on the LS3 intake manifold wont work with my harness and PCM.

I dont know all the information that I need for even a basic google search.

Thats right, 6.0 with square port stuff. couldnt run the truck intake, even with the 317 cathedral port heads, so i decided to upgrade and now im here haha

Since your getting away from the original setup to go bigger you've ran into this conundrum. If there's an adapter plate then that's probably what I would do.

Yeah this is the one that I was looking at.

Im sure it would work. Not sure how bad the restriction would be with a smaller TB than what the LS3 intake manifold is capable of. but that should still plug and play.

I think so too and I'm sure you can get it opened up to say 92 mm.
