VW sound in LS1?!

Okay, I posted this in Internal also, but since I don't know what it is, it's here too. I just had a head gasket replaced, and now when I'm giving the car ANY throttle (no matter how slight), I get what I can only discribe as a VW bug engine sound comming from the left side of the car. It's driving okay, it just sounds like ***. Any thoughts?

Exhaust leak? maybe try tightening up the exhaust manifold bolts?

Make sure that they didn't use paper gaskets. If they did, go down to your local dealer and pick up a set of metal stock replacements.
