Duals on the street Okay, lets fess up, how many of you true duals guys have actually been pulled by the police for being too loud? I'm thinking of doing GMMG or true dual chambered exhaust. Anyone know the difference in loudness between the two? Thanks.

I have true duals, with an Xpipe and glass packs, no actual mufflers. It's pretty quiet with the stock manifolds and cats until I get to about 3,000 rpm's then it really sounds deep and mean like a muscle car should. BTW, I've never been pulled over.
never been pulled over. its probably more of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I have driven by cops and even pulled up behind one at a light. Depends a lot on the cop too.

I had a cop pull up next to me at the light on the way home from work today. He actually motioned me to roll down my window. That's when he said "That's a good looking car...sounds good too." He then gave me the thumbs up and he took a right at the light and I went strait. It all depends on the cop and the time and place. If a cop wants to pull you over and mess with you, he will find a reason. Just don't be a dumb *** and drive around revving your exhaust all the time and you should be ok.

The best system I have done for sound quality (cool tone) and reduced volume with minimal restriction involved a magnaflow dual tube (dual/dual 3") muffler with the tru-x core.. In there catalog the tru-x has a *next to the part number... Its like an xpipe in the middle of the muffler other than that its straight thru.. It was just smoother, deeper and no rasp at all...
