Question about knock sensors If you turn off the DTC reporting for the Knock Sensor Low Voltage codes, will the knock sensors still perform? or will it not use them at all for knock detection and spark retard?
I have an intermittent knock sensor code and it's screwing up my data logging while trying to do last minute tuning (pulling 8 degrees when the DTC hits) ... I ordered new knock sensor kit but I'm trying to wheel this weekend. Just wondering if I can turn off the DTC and still see knock if its actually there or if it will disable the sensors completely?
