I got a ls6 intake for cheap, thing is, it has the driver's rear fuel rail post broken and flush with the intake.
Is it ok to have only 3 mounting posts for the fuel rail and is it possible for there to be a leak through the intake where the post broke off. Can that be easily sealed or would you guys not put it on your car.
It does not look like the post broke off near a passage, so I doubt that it would leak. I would JB weld some sort of post there to which the rail could be fastened. Possibly a piece of tubing of sorts. Just thinking out loud here... use your imagination...
Can you make a flat bracket with 2 holes? One hole to secure it to the closest manifold bolt and the other hole to secure the rail with a small bolt and nut? You may want to run this by your jerry rigging dept for approval. Or just send it.

Any chance of getting the broke off piece or having another manifold to cut one off of?. The material is glass reinforced nylon 66. It can be hot air welded or contact welded with a wood burning tool or soldering iron among other things .Extra material can be added to base of post to make up for it being repaired. Many black zip ties are nylon 66 material & can be used for filler rod.
I have some more info. The seller said he has an aftermarket sensor for the ls6 that needs to be glued on. Can this be easily done or should I walk away?
Oh man I wouldn't mess with that. I don't even know why anyone would try to pop the back out like that. If you can find an epoxy your comfortable with to reattach the MAP sensor piece it wouldn't be to bad though.
