LS6 Harmonic balancer
There is no common issues with the LS balancers though. They don't have reputation of coming off or coming apart. All balancers get old and the rubber starts to go bad that bonds the ring to the pulley hub so inspect that part of it and if it's good run it. But no, they don't have a problem coming off after put back on. Unless someone left it loose.
So grab another to be on the safe side or an ARP. Or reuse if you like.
Most important is make sure it's all the way on, and never beat it on with a hammer, use a installer like you said you will be doing, and make sure the bolt is tight. I've never even torqued one I just hit them with an impact.
As said, if a new bolt is used and torqued, angled properly it won't come off.
Stock balancers have tendency to separate. The rubber between the inner and outer ring fails and the outer ring will walk off or destroy the timing cover.
