Default LS1 wiring questions

Hello

I recently sold my LS1 out of my C5 to a buddy who is putting it into a Nova. I'm replacing my LS1 with a LS6 out of a salvaged Z06 and road racing that car.

My question is, what would be the cheapest and easiest way to wire my LS1 into his Nova?

Is it worth trying to pull the wiring harness from my salvaged car, or go with a different harness altogether out of a truck or something?

My 2nd question is: since my 01 base car is automatic and the 04 Z06 is manual, what would be the best combo to use in the race car?
do I take my harness from the Z06 and put it in the base car along with the PCM, or do I just use the original LS1 harness with the Z06? And if that's the case, do I use my original to the car LS1 PCM or the PCM from the Z06?
I would also need to tune either one to meet class rules so I would want to bypass the immobilizer and turn off the steering lock.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you

On the Nova I would look at the Holley Terminator X or X Max it's plug and play, Yes it's more expensive than building your own harness but your time has to be worth something. It's easy to learn the software and you don't have to deal with old wiring and it comes with a small display that can be used to display gauges.

Holley Terminator X, X Max for LS engines.

On your vette, Use the harness and computer that's in the car now, You say you're already going to have to get it tuned for racing so use the PCM that cam with the car, You may have to modify it slightly if going from auto to manual trans.
